Dear GWF family,

I just wanted to email and thank all of you for the hard work and for promoting women’s education. I am happy to say that I have achieved my dream in becoming an aircraft engineer. I graduated from FNU (2013) with a Trade Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Mechanical). Just last Friday I was informed that I was made a permanent staff… So I am well on my way to becoming a Licensed Engineer.

Thank You For The Hard Work And For Promoting Women’s Education.

GWF sponsored my studies for a Diploma in Civil Engineering at FNU (then FIT) in 2007 and in 2011, I was selected as an AusAID scholar to study a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering at the University of New South Wales. I am now in my 4th and final year of obtaining an engineering degree.

Despite my poor financial background where I was told to not even dream of studying, I was so passionate and adamant that I will pursue my goals. From a girl with nothing but big dreams to being just a semester away from graduating as a qualified Civil Engineer from one of the best universities in the world, I am overwhelmed with a feeling that I cannot describe.

GWF has changed my life. They made my dreams take life.
