DETAILED GWF FACEBOOK/WHATSAPP/VIBER GROUP RULES

To ensure our community remains a positive and supportive space, we have established a few basic rules for our members to follow:

1) Please remember that this group is for financial members of Graduate Women (Fiji) only so please keep topics relevant.

Examples below:

  • Scholarships, fellowships, grants or any opportunities for professional graduate women in Fiji.
  • News or posts about cross-cutting issues affecting professional and graduate women in Fiji and the world.
  • Information you know or found online (research, studies, tips, hacks, advice) on empowering women and girls.

Please note:
Photos of our member gatherings are relevant to be shared in our community, and please do mention how meeting each other has helped you or helped our other members and other women. Having said that, please do be mindful and refrain from posting excessive pictures of just yourself so we can keep the threads focused on group topics. These posts will be deleted.

2) Zero tolerance for negativity, bullying and shaming.

Our goal is to empower and support each other through our global network of professional, graduate women.

If you cannot be kind to others and mention your comments in a polite manner, or cannot respect others and their opinions, you will be removed from this group even if you are a financial member.

No one should ever be made to feel embarrassed on where they work, how much money they have, what they do, who they are and what they look like.

Posts with arguments will be deleted. You do not have to comment if you do not agree on an approved post. You are not required to respond to everything.

3) The Graduate Women (Fiji) group is a JUDGMENT-FREE community.

We have a zero tolerance policy for a lack of tolerance and understanding of everyone’s differences, and shaming of any kind is not allowed – money shaming, political shaming, environmental shaming to name a few.

If you do not agree with someone’s personal choices, you are NOT required to comment or acknowledge their post. You do not have to agree with everything you read or see but you do have to respect and accept the other members in this group.

If you do not have anything nice or constructive to say in an empowering and supportive way, please refrain from commenting. Not all of us have the same experiences, knowledge and expertise so please be encouraging and supportive with your responses. We are here to help each other no matter how small or simple those questions or challenges may seem to you.

If you are not able to tolerate others and our differences, please leave this group immediately. Members that shame others will be removed and banned from the group without notice.

4) There is NO advertising on this group including affiliate links.

People that are looking to advertise their own products or services are not allowed in this group. Please do not promote any commercial products or services for your company, blog or website including blog posts and giveaways. Self-promotional or irrelevant posts will be DELETED and the member will be banned immediately.

5) Please be kind, help, empower and support each other!

Please note: We reserve the right to remove any members not following the rules without warning. Any threads, posts or comments that are offensive and cause conflict within the group will be deleted.

By participating in this group, you are agreeing to adhere to our community rules and acknowledge that the content shared within the community might be featured on the Graduate Women (Fiji) website. (Your name and info will not shared without your prior public consent).

This group is moderated by the GWF Council and we are dedicated on spending a considerable amount of time moderating the group for the benefit of all. Please be considerate of the fact that the Council are all voluntary members and we are physically unable to be available 24 hours a day. Some posts may not be approved immediately but we are committed to do our best at all times for all members.

If you have any questions, please send a message to info@graduatewomenfiji.org (info at graduatewomenfiji dot org). We will respond to you as soon as we are able.

Thank you so much for all your support dear GWF members!
